“It’s raining—better get the umbrella ready.”
Such an ordinary remark,
yet recently it made me pause and think.
When we need to go out on a rainy day,
we usually prepare an umbrella
or find a way to keep ourselves from getting wet.
Few people would choose to stand in the rain,
getting soaked,
while complaining about why it has to rain.
Come to think of it,
many things in life are much the same.
When difficulties appear,
what really matters
is not complaining about the rain,⋯
but remembering
to open the umbrella.
